I have been a cosmetic dermatology nurse for 10 years, and I have found this book incredibly helpful. I use it constantly to educate patients on their treatments. I found the explanations and the diagrams to be an essential part of our initial consultation.
I highly recommend this book for anyone, nurse, aesthetician, or MD in the cosmetic field!

I initially read The Skin Type Solution by Dr Baumann and absolutely LOVED it ! As a skin care instructor I used her book all the time to teach my students. Now, I have another resource with this new book. Dr Baumann breaks things down so clearly that it is not intimidating in any way. It is not your usual text book either. I am always finding new answers to questions I have had as well as my students. The skin care industry is so fluid, if you do NOT know your stuff, you will not be successful.

It is so great book. And help me to understand cosmetic dermatology. I advice this book who whant to be a dermatologist.

I found that this was a concise but helpful book for the novice. Not sure if there is anything similar out there but a good brief general review. I am a new provider in the cosmetic dermatology field so perhaps I had unrealistic expectations.

If you are interested in the full description and research that Dr. Baumann has so wonderfully elucidated in her beautifully detailed text, do not get the Kindle version... the version that I reviewed was not the same and was significantly abridged in sections. If you want an decent overview then do get the kindle version.
