recovery from cancer Sep 30, 2008
By Carolyn this book was riveting. i could not put it down. having just lost a friend to cancer, treated entirely by conventional means, i can only believe that our medical system, in refusing to examine diet & nutrition, is hell bent on killing us for profit. cheers to ms. nussbaum for saving herself and providing an example to us all that it can be done

Inspiring! Jan 06, 2011
By L. Fielding I bought this book for my hair dresser who has been battling cancer for years. I had heard of it through one of Gillian McKeith's books and thought it would be worth a try for her. I peeked into it and was hooked IMMEDIATELY. I read it all in one day and after giving to my hair dresser, went out and got it from the library and read it again! Then I was so interested in macrobiotics, I had to read everything I could on THAT subject. Moral of the story: when you read it, you believe in the power of the body to heal itself and are inspired to learn more so you can tap into that power. Even if you are a picture of health, Elaine's story is just so interesting and so good, it's a page-turner that you will be so glad to have in your library.
